Hello, I am Mrs. Cynthia Lucero and I will be your Middle School English teacher.❤️️

I have been in Fort Sumner for 16 years, and I love our quaint little village. I grew up in Truth or Consequences, NM, and go back to visit my family often. My hometown is famous for a few things… 

First off, Truth or Consequences is not my hometown’s original name 🤔… it was called Hot Springs until the name was changed in 1950. 

TorC has the largest lake in the state, Elephant Butte and the Rio Grande runs through Sierra county. Growing up with an abundance of water helped devlop me into a lover of water sports and swimming. 🌊

 Like Fort Sumner, TorC has a famous outlaw connected to the community...Geronimo. Growing up surrounded by history and nature, I have a love for different cultures and the land. I enjoy hiking, camping, and hunting for rocks. 🏞

As you get to know me you will learn that do not drink coffee, but am highly addicted to the London Fog Latte. ☕️

You will also discover my love of villainous charaters and unusual story plots. I love reading and literature, and look forward to getting to know you as the year progresses.
